Classes

We provide a wide range of classes to meet your needs. We promise to teach with a smile, encourage growth and development and help your dancer reach their goals!



Tiny Tappers:  Our CSDC Tiny Tappers program is designed for our beginner dancers, ages 2-3, consisting of creative movement and rhythm and movement, along with basic dance steps and terminology. This class is a great introduction to dance and building independence in a safe and fun environment!

Preschool: Designed for our dancers, ages 3-4, this program is a 45 minute class per week, consisting of basic ballet and basic tap, with both steps and terminology, creative movement and rhythm and movement focused greatly on balance and coordination. This class offers a great blend of independence, structure and fun!

Kinderdance:  These 45 minutes classes are designed for the kindergarten aged dancer who is ready for a more structured class. Dancers in this class will learn both steps and terminology, while still having fun and developing in an age appropriate setting. Each class will begin with an age and developmentally appropriate warm up and end with a musical parade!

Combo Classes for ages 6-9:  CSDC combo program meets one day per week, with 30 minute classes of each:  Ballet, Tap and Jazz, back to back, for dancer and parent convenience.  Dancers may choose one, two or all three classes in the (ages)  6-9 combo program. 

6 - 9 Combo Ballet This 30 minute recreational class is designed for the dancer ages 6-9 and consists of age appropriate ballet steps, skills and combinations while developing friendships, confidence, independence and style!  Dancers in this class will perform a ballet dance in our annual spring recital!

6- 9 Combo Tap:  This 30 minute recreational class is designed for the dancer ages 6-9 and consists of age appropriate tap steps, skills and combinations while developing friendships, confidence, independence and style!  Dancers in this class will perform a tap dance in our annual spring recital!

6 - 9 Combo JazzThis 30 minute recreational class is designed for the dancer ages 6-9 and consists of age appropriate Jazz steps, skills and combinations while developing friendships, confidence, independence and style!  Dancers in this class will perform a Jazz dance in our annual spring recital!

Junior Hip Hop: CSDC Hip Hop classes teach rhythm, coordination, musicality and choreography with family appropriate music and movements. Students are challenged to think on their feet while enjoying an energetic and fast-paced dance class. Our Hip Hop dancers develop focus, strength, and agility while having fun!

PreTeen/Teen Hip Hop: Designed for our dancers, ages 10 and up, this hop hop class offers a fun variety of age appropriate steps and combinations set to age appropriate music! Dancer in our Hip Hop program learn how to put moves to counts, words and rhythms while developing an appreciation for dance, music, rhythms and accents.

Junior Jazz and Tap: Dancers ages 7 - 11 will enjoy these fun filled, structured 45 minute Jazz and Tap classes! Dancers will continue develop skills and combinations in a healthy, fun and positive environment!  

ACRO I This non-recital class, for ages 5 and up, is set to develop and strengthen basic floor tumbling skills, focusing on strength, flexibility and coordination.    

ACRO II:  Building on our Acro I class, dancers in our Acro II will also focus on strength, flexibility, and intermediate floor tumbling skills for dancers. Requirements for Acro II: One handed cartwheels, front walk overs, back walkovers.

Technique: Designed a s a building block for our dancers, our techniques program offers 30 - 45 minute classes, in 3 levels, focusing on leaps, turns, strength, flexibility and conditioning.

Ballet:  CSDC offers a 30 - 60 minute classes of ballet technique, barre work, floor work and combinations in 3 levels, each level building on the the prior.  Ballet classes will perform a ballet dance in the spring recital.

Pointe/PrePointe Offered to dancers in the Advanced Ballet class as an additional 30 minute class of strength and development in ballet and pointe technique.
